Brightwell Health is a private billing practice. Out of pocket fees vary according to the clinician you see and the type of appointment but rebates from Medicare are available if you see a GP or Gynaecologist (current referrals are required to see a Gynaecologist). Medicare rebates may also apply if you see a Psychologist, Physiotherapist or Dietician under a care plan from your usual GP. Private health insurance may also cover some allied health visits.
If you decide to book in for a surgical procedure in hospital, our administration team will go through the fees involved with you at the time of booking. You are welcome to ask about fees ahead of your appointment by speaking to one of our friendly administration team.
At Brightwell Health, we also offer nurse-led clinics as a more affordable option for patients who do not require a doctor’s appointment. Our highly skilled nurses provide safe, evidence-based care, support and advice, with the ability to consult with a doctor if needed. These clinics allow patients to access timely care at a lower fee than doctor consultations, making quality healthcare more accessible and cost-effective (please note, no medicare rebate applies for nurse appointments).
